Plumbago blue is an evergreen shrub with breathtaking vibrant blue flowers. It is relatively easy to grow and blooms on and off all year. The blossoms attracts butterflies to your garden.

Plumbago blue shrubs need lot of room to grow, space each shrub 3 feet apart. It grows fast in any soil, but will perform best in sandy, well drained soil. It blooms best in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade. Plumbago blue is considered moderately drought resistant.

Once established, plumbago blue requires watering only when the soil is dry. Water regularly, but give it time to dry out properly between waterings. Over watering can rotten the roots. Plunbago blue grows fast, so prune regularly to control growth and to keep shape and size to maximize the number of flowers.

Plumbago blue shrubs are great in containers, along the fence, ground cover, accent for garden beds and as a foundation plant.
