Areca Palm
The Areca Palm, locally also called Bamboo Palm is grown for its graceful and elegant look. It will grow up to 20 ft in wild, but only to 6-9 ft if in a pot. Areca palms are often grown also in clumps for privacy screens. They do well in partial shade, in full sun the leaves tend to turn yellow, and direct sun may burn the fronds. Keep the soil moist, drying out only a bit between watering.
