Foxtail palm is popular among landscapers and planted as an ornamental tree. It stands out from the others with its bushy foxtail looking leaves. It is adaptable, fast growing and salt & wind tolerant making it ideal to coastal gardens. It is drought tolerant to a point but prefers regular watering which encourages optimum growth. Foxtail palm is easy to take care of, spent leaves will die and drop from the tree as needed to facilitate new growth. It thrives in a full sun to slightly shaded area. If planted in containers, make sure the containers are large enough to support the roots.
